The basics are important to every human endeavor. Think of the basics as the foundation of a structure. In order for the structure to endure, it must be built on a solid foundation. Whether you are trying to win consistently at a sport… raise happy, well-adjusted children… master a musical instrument… or grow a successful business – you have to build your enterprise on a solid foundation of basics. If you neglect the basics, your building begins to crack and sag, and unless you shore up the foundation, it’s only a matter of time before the building falls down around you!
